This is one of our go to trails. It’s easy enough for kids. But for those who come prepared with walking shoes, sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen, and water, the Dunes Hiking Trail can be a most unusual trek during the summer. The trail becomes strenuous, thanks to the steep ups and downs through sandy bowls in the ancient dunes. The trail begins just beyond the parking area.
